In this course we will learn concepts necessary to read music in standard notation (what you've seen on sheet music). We will learn about the staff and treble clef. We will learn how the treble clef is the key to helping us understand information we find on the staff. We will use the clef to help us identify "guide notes" on the staff, and from there, we will develop proficiency at reading notes on the treble staff.
If you are completely new to reading music, you might benefit from taking the Music Explorations: Time and Rhythm course before the Pitch courses.
